SUMMARY:Arvada Affordable Housing Fair:  We'll Be There\, Too!
DESCRIPTION:Arvadans for Progressive Action\, an Arvada citizen volunteer group\, is hosting a housing resource fair/ A variety of community organizations and government agencies\, including the City of Arvada\, will be in attendance to answer your housing questions \nWe’ll be there\, too\, with information on how co-housing and sustainable living lower your housing costs and how to get into Ralston Creek CoHousing.  A smaller unit in the Gatehouse would be a great starter home. We soon will be designing the building and common spaces\, so now is the time to get in. \nTopics will be addressed at the fair such as:\n• Financial help for essential home repairs\n• Assistance locating affordable rents/housing assistance\n• Building an accessory dwelling unit\n• Making homes safe and accessible for seniors who wish to age in place\n• Home sharing for seniors who wish to age in place\n• Financial assistance for qualifying first time homebuyers \nSnacks and child activities will be available.\nFor more information about the Housing Resource Event\, contact Mindy Mohr at 303-717-6916 or mcarlamohr@aol.com.
